10/12: Hey Everyone, sorry for the wait on updates. We are ending our third week in the hotel. No luck with an apartment as Allstate thinks we'll be out before the minimum three month lease. So, that sucked but it also means we might be back home by the beginning of December. Servpro has been great and so has CRE the specialty cleaning company. We had some issues with Allstate's adjuster on contents but we ran that up the flag pole and I talked to two regional directors last weekend so I think we'll be good there. It looks like the cleaning piece will be complete in a week or so then we need to make sure the cabinets that are being replaced will match and get to painting. 10/3 Update. Last night Jordan, Emily and I moved rooms in the hotel near the front so we could have better internet coverage versus none at all. Allstate is estimating we will be out two months but not three hence no approval for the apartment closer to Libertyville. Next steps: While Servepro is cleaning we are waiting on a contents list from Allstate as to what we lost and what they will cover. This will come in the next two weeks or so and we will have to look it over very carefully. We are hearing there are some issues and push back from Allstate so, we'll see. We have already met with some resistance from one of the appraisers so I'm trying to be nice but am ready if not.
10/2: Today we found out we can't get the corporate apartment closer by because Allstate is estimating that we are only going to be out two months and it's less expensive then the three month minimum at AMLI. We looked at other hotels closer but they won't really work and our options with Marley make it hard. We are going to stay put and make the best of it. The kitchen isn't really conducive to cooking so a lot of eating out which is tough and gets tiresome. Friends in Libertyville have been great about inviting us over which has been great and we are trying to balance that along with getting homework, kids activities and appointments done. The first week was really tough and the kids were up too late many nights. We'll make it work and we are not in a situation like many others in Texas or Florida so we have that going for us.

Update 9/28

Hey Everyone, Thanks for your support and wanting to know what's going on, we really appreciate it. First I'll give you an update about where we are today then a recap for those of you who don't know what happened. 10/1: Waiting to head tomorrow from Allstate on approval of us moving into a corporate apartment for three months. The great thing is this is four minutes from our house vs. the 25 or so where we are now. And it will save Allstate money and us time, so its a win-win. 9/28: Last night we received our "emergency clean" clothes back. About 225 hangars worth of stuff which equals four hotel carts worth of stuff. Crazy that this is just the emergency stuff! We have requested an additional room and have one set up if need starting tomorrow. Since we have been in the suite its hard for all of us to not have room to eat, like a table, with Grace on the fold out couch and the table being used for storage. Hopefully we'll get to go the other
